Biotechnology center Stembio was established in the TÜBİTAK MARTEK R&D (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey Marmara Technopolis Research and Development) and Innovation region in 2020 with the aim of bringing the latest health technologies that have been developed around the world at the cellular and molecular levels to Turkey and to support the generation of new information in this field.

Stembio, which provides services in the fields of stem cell and tissue technologies, has the distinction of being the first and only hybrid cell and tissue center in Turkey.

Stembio operates in three main areas:

  • Cord blood banking
  • Stem cell production and banking
  • Tissue banking

Reducing foreign dependency in tissue banking with its state-of-the-art laboratory, Stembio is a biotechnology base that processes human-derived cells and tissues, stores the processed products ready-to-use, and offers them for clinical use.
